ReplyDeletePatriot Down arrived yesterday after work. I am on chapter 6. Love the story and you got immediately into action. The editing is somewhat disapointing at times as there are words that run together and at least one sentence that looks like it contains the wrong word, as it doesn't make sense they way it was written. But overall so far a great story.

Aha! So I did leave some vernacular in there: 'stonking' is getting shelled/mortared i.e. to 'stonk' the position or to 'get stonked' means you are getting plastered by fire.
Delete'Bombing up' a magazine is loading it, as in filling it with rounds. That is BritMil slang. 'Bombing up mags' means fillig them up, usually rapidly.
